WHAT: CRISPR/Cas9 Technology - What It Can Do for Your Research

CRISPR/Cas9 technology has revolutionized basic research over the past 8 years. It has evolved in such a rapid manner that the applications of this genomic editing tool are becoming a backbone of basic research. A brief overview of the history of this technology will be provided and key components of current CRISPR/Cas9 systems will be introduced. Finally, the application of this tool to generate genetically-engineered mice and to engineer genomic loci in human iPS cells will be highlighted.

This presentation is intended for investigators who wish to take advantage of CRISPR/Cas9 technology as well as for the more experienced user interested in recent advances.
